Location Lat 4° 3' 21S Long 144° 4' 26E Angoram Airfield is located at an elevation of 75' above sea level at Angoram (Angorum) on the north bank of the Sepik River in New Guinea. Prewar and during the Pacific War located in the Territory of New Guinea. Today located in Angoram District, East Sepik Province (ESP) in Papua New Guinea (PNG). Prewar Built prewar as a single runway to support Angoram mission. Also known as Angoram Landing Ground (Angoram L/G). Wartime History During late December 1942, occupied by the Japanese Army. During the Japanese occupation of the area, it seems the runway was never used and became overgrown. Today Postwar, used as Angoram Airport. Airport codes: IATA: AGG.
