Location Borio Airfield No. 11 (Doboudra No. 11, Dobo No. 11) is located to the south of Borio (Boru) and later North Borio Airstrip No. 15 after it was built. To the north is Embi Creek. Located to the northwest is Dobodura and Horanda. Construction As of July 1943, the U.S. Army proposed a runway at this location. Sometime in late 1943 or early 1944 built by the U.S. Army with taxiways to the north, east and south connected directly to North Borio Airfield (Dobodura No. 15), and North Embi Airfield (Dobodura No. 12). Wartime History Used by the U.S. Army Air Force (USAAF) as a fighter airfield. According to local residents, U.S. Army nurses and U.S. Army personnel were based in a compound near the runway. American units based at Borio Airfield No. 11 (Dobodura No. 11) 475th FG, 433rd FS (P-38) Amberley arrives August 14, 1943–March 29, 1944 departs Nadzab Today Disused since the Pacific War.
