On April 22, 1944 the U.S. Army, 41st Infantry Division (41st ID) "The Jungleers", 163rd Infantry Regiment landed at Blue Beach. Annotated are coastal villages including Vokau, Pro, Pro Mission, Wopil, Nor, Rilia and Lemieng (outpost L/163) at the mouth of the Nigia River.
