American missions against Haiphong and Haiphong Airfield

August 8, 1942
(CATF) 4 B-25s and 3 P-40s from the Kweilin-Hengyang area, staging through Nanning, bomb docks and warehouses at Haiphong and claiming a freighter sunk in the harbor; this is the first CATF raid over French Indochina.

November 23, 1942
(10th AF) B-25s and 7 P-40s feint at Hong Kong, then fly to the Gulf of Tonkin and sink a freighter and damage 2 others near Haiphong

May 4, 1943
(14th AF) 9 B-25's pound docks at Haiphong. 19 P-40's escort B-17's and B-25's to Hanoi and then proceed with B-25's to Haiphong and strafe the target area following the bombing strike.

June 8, 1943
(14th AF) Seven B-24's and 6 B-25's, with P-40 escorts, are dispatched to bomb shipping and dock installations at Haiphong but bad weather diverts them to alternate targets.

July 8, 1943
(14th AF) 22 B-24's, escorted by 13 P-40's, attack shipping, docks, and a cement works at Haiphong.

July 10, 1943
(14th AF) Nine B-24's bomb the dock area at Haiphong

July 11, 1943
(10th AF) B-24's hit the port of Haiphong.
(14th AF) Three B-24's bomb the Haiphong Harbor area

(14th AF) B-24's bomb shipping at Haiphong

(14th AF) Four B-24's attack cement works at Haiphong.

September 14, 1943
(14th AF) Fifteen B-24's are dispatched to Haiphong. The first flight aborts due to bad weather but the second flight reaches the target area and bombs docks and shipping.

September 15, 1943
(14th AF) Five B-24's attack a cement plant at Haiphong; 50+ Japanese fighters attack the B-24's. Lost are B-24D "Mohawk" 42-40786, B-24D "Temptation" 41-24129 and B-24D "Daisy Mae" 41-24218; the one returning B-24 claims 10 fighters shot down.

October 1, 1943
(14th AF) 21 B-24's, supported by 21 fighters, bomb a power plant, the warehouse and dock area at Haiphong. 40-65 fighters intercept, shooting down 2 US aircraft; 30 fighters are claimed destroyed in the air battle.

October 7, 1943
(14th AF) 9 B-24's and 22 fighters hit a cement plant at Haiphong, French Indochina causing heavy damage to the kiln building.

October 10, 1943
(14th AF) 20 B-24's and 18 P-40's pound docks at Haiphong

October 25, 1943
(14th AF) Six P-40's strafe shipping at Haiphong, claiming 3 small boats sunk and damaging 6 larger boats; 2 B-25's and 4 P-40's attack shipping in the Gulf of Tonkin, claiming a 150' tanker sunk and 200' freighter damaged.

(14th AF) Four B-25's on a coastal sweep patrol from Pakhoi to Haiphong
