    Hanuabada Cemetery (USAF Cemetery #1) NCD Papua New Guinea (PNG)
Location
Hanuabada Cemetery is located in Hanuabada west of Port Moresby (Town) on the southern coast of New Guinea. This cemetery was established prewar as a burial ground for expatriates that died in the Port Moresby area. Prewar and during the Pacific War located in the Territory of Papua. Today, located in National Capital District (NCD) in Papua New Guinea (PNG).

Wartime History
During early 1942, Hanuabada Cemetery was used to bury Allied personnel killed in the vicinity of Port Moresby including Australian Army, Royal Australian Navy (RAN) and Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) personnel.

Known burials include:

USAF Cemetery #1 Port Moresby
A section or portion of this cemetery was used for American burials known as USAF Cemetery #1 Port Moresby or USAF Cemetery #1 Teak (code name for Port Moresby) or USAF Cemetery Port Moresby No. 1.

Postwar
The military graves where exhumed and the Commonwealth graves were moved to Bomana War Cemetery and Americans graves transported to Australia then to the United States for permanent burial. Burials of expatriate Australians that died prewar or postwar including veterans from World War II remain in Hanuabada Cemetery.
