          35th Photographic Reconnaissance Squadron, Fourteenth AF, at Chihkiang and Nanning with F-5s, return to base at Chanyi.
 
 WESTERN PACIFIC [Far East Air Force (FEAF)]: The 371st Bombardment 
          Squadron (Heavy) and 372d Bombardment 
          Squadron (Heavy), 307th Bombardment Group (Heavy), move from Morotai to Clark
            Field with B-24s. Lost is B-17G Flying Fortress 44-83581 pilot 1st Lt. Dale V. Hannigan (MIA).
 
 U.S. Navy: Internees from two civilian internment camps in the Tokyo area are evacuated aboard hospital ship USS Benevolence (AH-13).
