US: "Operation Olympic" the U. S. invasion of Japan was scheduled to commence on November 1, 1945 but was cancelled after the unconditional surrender of Japan that ended World War II.

FRIDAY,
9 NOVEMBER 1945

RAAF: Force landed is Beaufort A9-150 (crew unhurt).

SATURDAY, 10 NOVEMBER 1945

SUNDAY, 11 NOVEMBER 1945

USN: Crashed is JRB-4 Expeditor 44632 (KIA). Scuttled is PT-108.

THURSDAY, 15 NOVEMBER 1945

RAAF: Crashed is Dakota A65-54 on a flight from Jacquinot Bay Airfield bound for Rabaul (KIA). Crashed due to an aerial collision are P-40N Kittyhawk A29-527 (survived) and P-40N Kittyhawk A29-1210 | A29-1462 (KIA).

TUESDAY, 27 NOVEMBER 1945

USAAF ATC: Crashed is C-47B Dakota 43-16261 (MIA)
