Location Battery Marshall is located on the bow of Fort Drum on El Fraile Island inside Manila Bay in the Philippines. To the rear at a slightly higher elevation is Battery Wilson. Construction Built prior to the war. Emplaced two 14" M1909 guns built by Watervliet Arsenal in an enclosed turret. The guns are numbered from right to left if you are facing the target, No. 1 (right) and No. 2 (left). Named Battery Marshall in honor of William T. Marshall. Wreckage At the end of the war, the left gun barrel was left elevated at a 45° angle. The right gun barrel was damaged and is at a negative horizontal angle. As of 2007, both gun barrels remained intact. References Thanks to Tony Feredo for additional information Contribute
