Gun History
Delivered to the Imperial Japanese Army (IJA) as 75mm Type 88 anti-aircraft gun serial number 2582. This gun was transported to New Guinea.

Wartime History
This gun was reportedly emplaced near Awar Airfield to provide anti-aircraft defense over the Hansa Bay area.

Display
During 1975, this gun is one of two transported from Awar Airfield to Bogia for PNG independence for displayed at the district government station. Today, it this gun is displayed outside the Koale Trading Company store.
