Wartime History
Delivered to the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) as 76.2mm Anti-Aircraft Gun Type 3 (1914) 8cm High Angle Gun. This gun was transported to Lae and emplaced at Lae Airfield to provide anti-aircraft defense. During late September 1943, captured by the Australian Army at Lae Airfield.

Wreclage
This gun is displayed to the side of the former Lae Airfield next to the Amelia Earhart Memorial.
