| Location Atka Island is located in the Andreanof Island Group (Andreanof Islands) in the Aleutian Island Chain (Aleutian Islands) in Alaska in the United States. Borders Nazan Bay and Believing Bay. Wartime History During the Paciic War, Atka Island was developed into a seaplane base and was bombed by Japanese aircraft.
