| Location Seguam Island is located in the Andreanof Island Group (Andreanof Islands) in the Aleutian Island Chain (Aleutian Islands) in Alaska in the United States. To the southwest is Amlia Island. Wartime History On June 6, 1942 various bomber fly search-attack missions are flown in an attempt to find the fleet reported near Seguam. No contact is made due to weather. On August 30, 1942 arrives USS Hulbert (AVP-6) arrives and lands a party of U.S. Marines to search for a Japanese radio station and departs the same day bound for Atka. On March 13, 1945 barge PSB 111 ran aground on northeast of Seguam Island, but is pulled free by fleet tug USS Sarsi (ATF-111).
