Location
Lat 4° 52' 60N Long 114° 55' 60E  Brunei Town is located at an elevation of 3' above sea level in the Sultanate of Brunei on the northern coast of Borneo. Borders Brunei Bay to the west. Also known as Bandar Seri Begawan, Bruni or Brunei. Today, national capital of the Sultanate of Brunei.

Wartime History
During the Pacific War, occupied by the Japanese. Attacked by Allied aircraft during late 1944 until July 1945.

American missions against Brunei
November 16, 1944–July 9, 1945

On July 1, 1945 the U.S. Navy (USN) made an amphibious landing the Australian Army 9th Division at Brunei Bay, Labuan Island and Muara Island.
