Location
Brunei Bay borders Brunei Town in Brunei (Sultanate of Brunei) on the northern coast of Borneo. Beyond borders the South China Sea.
Wartime History
During the Pacific War, Brunei Bay was occupied by the Japanese and used as an anchorage. On July 1, 1945 the U.S. Navy (USN) made an amphibious landing the Australian Army 9th Division at Brunei Bay also Labuan Island and Muara Island.
