Location
Belil Island forms the northern edge of Green Island Atoll in the Autonomous Region of Bougainville (Bougainville Province) in Papua New Guinea (PNG). To the northwest is Pinipel Island. To the southwest is Sirot Island and to the southeast is Nissan Island (Green Island). Borders Green Island Lagoon to the south.
