Location
Kairatoe is located on the southwestern end of Seram Island (Ceram) in the Moluccas Island Group (Moluccas Islands). The wartime Allied spelling was Kairatoe. Today known as Kairatu. Prewar and during the Pacific War, located in the Netherlands East Indies (NEI). Today located in Maluku Province (Provinsi Maluku) in Indonesia.
