Location
Lat 1° 10' 25N Long 124° 25' 53E  Sidate is located at an elevation of 278' / 84m above sea level on the north coast of the Minahassa Peninsula of northern Sulawesi (Celebes). Prewar and during the Pacific War located in the Netherlands East Indies (NEI). Today located in Minahasa Regency of North Sulawesi Province (Sulawesi Utara) in Indonesia.

Wartime History
During January 1942 occupied by the Japanese until the end of the Pacific War. Starting in the middle of September 1944 attacked by Allied bombers and fighters until early August 1945.
