Location
Lat 4° 46' 60S Long 136° 31' 60E  Timoeka is located on the southern coast of New Guinea. Also known as Timuka or Timika. Prewar and during the Pacific War located in Dutch New Guinea (DNG) in the Netherlands East Indies (NEI). Between 1963–1973 part of West Irian (Irian Barat) and during 1973-2002 known as Irian Jaya. Today located in Mimika Regency in Papua Province (Provinsi Papua) in Indonesia.

Occupied by the Japanese for the duration of the Pacific War.
