Location
Lat 35° 39' 45N Long 139° 42' 13E Shibuya is one of twenty-three special wards of Tokyo located in the Kantō Region of Honshū in Japan. Shibuya means "astringent Valley". Designated a special ward of Tokyo bordering Suginami, Nakano, Shinjuku, Minato, Shinagawa, Meguro and Setagaya.

Japanese Army prison for criminal Japanese soldiers operated by the Kenpeitai (Kempei-Tai).
On April 16, 1945 the building was damaged during a B-29 firebombing raid. Today the former building is a tax office and grade school.
