Also spelled "Inchon". Also known as Chemulpo Harbor or Jinsen Harbor or Jemulpo Harbor. Wartime History On September 8, 1945, U.S. Army Lt. Gen. John R. Hodge arrived at Incheon to accept the surrender of Japanese forces south of the 38th Parallel.
