Lat 37° 33′ 59.53″ N, Long 126° 58′ 40.69″ E  Seoul 서울 is located on the Han River. Borders Gyeonggi Province and Incheon. Seoul means "Capital City" in Korean and is the national capital of Republic of Korea (South Korea). During the Japanese colonial era 1910 until August 15, 1945 Seoul was known as Keijō meaning capital city in Japanese or Gyeongseong (Kyongsong) in Korean.
