Location
Lat 35° 10′ 46″ N Long 129° 4′ 32″ E  Pusan is located on the southeast coast of the Korean Peninsula in Republic of Korea (South Korea). During the Japanese colonial era, known as "Busan". Known to the Allies as "Pusan". Other names include Tsau-liang-hai, Fousan, Fuzan or Fusan.

Pacific War
During 1910-1945 occupied by the Japanese. Starting in July 1945 attacked by U.S. aircraft until the end of the Pacific War.

Korean War
During the Korean War, Busan was one of two cities in South Korea that were never captured by North Korean forces, and became a large refugee camp during the war and became the temporary capital of the Republic of Korea. During the summer of 1950, United Nations forces established the "Pusan Perimeter" around the city.
