The black lines with arrow head show the U.S. Army advance from Dulag on Leyte inland to the west then northward to Dagami. Then advanced inland to occupy Dulag Airfield then beyond to San Pablo Airfield to occupy Buri Airfield (Buro) and Bayug Airfield then occupying Burouen (Burauen). The line with cross hatch indicates positions reached by date. The double line indicates main roads and the dotted double lines are secondary roads. The solid line with XX indicates the divisional boundry between 7th Division to the southwest and 96th Division to the northeast. On October 29, 1944 the advance reaches southern Dagami.
