    Cabaruan Hills 3rd District | Pangasinan Province | Luzon Philippines
Location
The Cabaruan Hills are located in the 3rd District of Pangasinan Province on Luzon in the Philippines. The hills are situated between Malasiqui and Villasis.

Wartime History
After the U.S. landing at Lingayen Gulf, the Japanese Army "Omori Detachment" dug into the Cabaruan Hills with about 1,500 soldiers supported by some medium tanks and artillery. On January 17, 1945 the U.S. Army 25th Infantry Division "Tropic Lighting", 20th Infantry Regiment attacked and a battle ensued that ending January 28, 1945 at 4:00pm. Roughly 1,400 Japanese were killed in the Cabaruan Hills.
