Macajalar Bay
On May 10, 1945 the U.S. Army 40th Infantry
Division landed a regiment at Macajalar Bay at the north of the island at the Sayre
Highway unopposed and joined Filipino guerrilla forces
and advanced southward.
Cagayan (Cagayan de Oro, Cagayan de Oro City)
Located on the north coast of Mindano borders Macajalar Bay and includes Cagayan Airfield
Lumbia (Libona)
Located to the south of Cagayan includes Lumbia Airfield (Cagayan South, Libona)
