Location
Lat 8° 28' 52N Long 124° 38' 35E  Cagayan is located in Misamis Oriental Province on the north central coast of Mindanao Island in the Philippines. Also known as Cagayan de Oro or Cagayan de Oro City. Borders Macajalar Bay to the north and to the south is Cagayan Airfield.

Wartime History
Occupied by the Japanese. Starting in the middle of October 1944 attacked by American fighter and bombers until early December 1944.

October 16, 1944–December 6, 1944

St. Augustine Metropolitan Cathedral
Damaged by bombing during 1944. Today known as St. Augustine Metropolitan Cathedral.

Cagayan Airfield
Located to the south of Cagayan and still in use today as Cagayan de Oro Airport
