Location Lat 8° 28' 52N Long 124° 38' 35E Cagayan is located in Misamis Oriental Province on the north central coast of Mindanao in Northern Mindanao Region (Region X) of the Philippines. Also known as Cagayan de Oro. Borders Macajalar Bay to the north and to the south is Cagayan Airfield. Borders Misamis Oriental Province to the northeast and west and Bukidnon Province to the southeast and Illigan to the southwest. Starting in the middle of October 1944 attacked by American fighter and bombers until early December 1944.
