Location
Brown Island was a small island on the western side of Henry Reid Harbor inside Wide Bay. During World War II, this was an island. Today, connected to the mainland by fill at the western end. Although no longer an island, it is still referred to as "Brown Island". To the south is Kalai, Kalai Plantation and Cape Turner.
