Location
The Fly River is the third longest river in New Guinea with a length of 660 miles in southern New Guinea. The mouth is a wide delta known as the Fly River delta that empties into the Gulf of Papua (Papua Gulf). At the mouth are a series of islands including Kiwai Island (Iasa). Prewar and during the Pacific War, located in the of the Western District in the Territory of Papua. Today located in Western Province (Fly) in Papua
