Location
Karasau Island is rectangular island off the northern coast of New Guinea. To the east is Muschu Island to the northeast is Kairiru Island. To the northwest is Unei Island. To the southeast is Bogim Harbor. The western most point of the island is Win.
Wartime History
Occupied by the Japanese Karsau Garrison Unit (Keibi). During October 1944, occupied by a small detachment of the Japanese Army 37 Machine Cannon Company with a 20mm cannon and light machine guns. On March 25, 1945 bombed by Allied aircraft, killing many local people.
