Location Lat 6° 42' 0S Long 147° 1' 60E Malahang is located two miles east of Lae. Further to the east is the Busu River. Today located in Ahi Rural LLG, Lae District of Morobe Province in Papua New Guinea. Prewar Malahang Plantation and Malahang Mission were established here, also several roads and trails. Wartime History On March 8, 1942 Japanese forces made their initial landing at Malahang beach during their landing at Lae and occupied the area until September 1943. Starting in January 1943 attacked by Allied bombers and fighters until September 1943.
