Location
Lat 5° 55′ 10″ S Long 147° 19′ 56″ E Teliata Point is located on the north coast of the Huon Peninsula in New Guinea. On the western arm of the point is Sio. To the north is Sio Island. To the southeast roughly fifty miles away is Finshafen and Sattleburg and roughly 75 miles to the east is Saidor. To the east is Nambariwa (Nabarewa, Nabarowa). Also known as "Sio 1". Prewar and during the Pacific War known as Morobe District in the Territory of New Guinea. Today located in Morobe Province in Papua New Guinea (PNG).
