Location
Minia Island is located on a coral reef in the Fauro Island Group (Fauro Islands) in Western Province in the Solomon Islands. The island is forested and three quarters of a mile in diameter with the highest elevation at 275'. To the south are shallow patches of reef for a distance of two miles. To the northeast is Fauro Island. To the west Ballale Island and to the southwest is Shortland Island. To the east is Rofei Island (Rohae). North of Munia Island is a chain of thickly forested islets in a northernly direction for 5.5 miles all fringed by a coral reef.
