I'm
46, live in Brisbane. I've
always had an interest in military matters (many relatives in WW1, two uncles
in Borneo and New Guinea WW II, Dad in the RAAF 33 years) and I spent some time
in the RAAF's Air Training Corps, and later, the Australian Army Reserve. One
of my brothers joined the RAAF, and another was an infantry Captain in the Army.
Since 1987 I've been in business with my youngest brother,
operating a family entertainment centre in Brisbane. Prior to that I
was a personnel officer with the Federal Government in Canberra, firstly
with Defense, then with Health.
One of my hobbies is building
scale models, with my current focus being vehicles of the Imperial
Japanese Army. An extension of this, and of my interest in the
war in the Pacific, is researching the IJA, and co-production of "Preserved Japanese Tanks.".
Another of my interests is motor racing, and I am also the editor
of my car club's magazine.
