During the late 1969, Australian Barry Flood was an expatriate living and working in Papua New Guinea and Irian Jaya. He photographed aircraft wreckage during his travels.
During December 1968 to January 1969 he photographed Japanese aircraft wreckage salvaged by Robert Diemert and transported to Port Moresby by barge and stored outdoors at (Jackson Airport) until loaded aboard a Royal Canadian Air
Force (RCAF) C-130 Hercules and flown to Canada.
