Location
Lat 1° 3' 0N Long 131° 18' 0E  The Asia Island Group (Asia Atoll) includes Fani Island, Igin Island and Miarin Island. Located to the north of the equator between Ayu Islands and Palau. To the south is Waigeo Island. Today, located in present day West Papua Province in Indonesia. Known as Kepulauan Asia in Indonesian.

Wartime History
On November 19-20, 1944, elements of the U.S. Army 31st Infantry Division, 167th Infantry Regiment landed in the Asia Island Group, but the defending Japanese had evacuated.
