The U.S. Marine Corps Museum (USMC Museum) was located at MCAS Quantico in Quantico, VA. On Veterans Day 2006 the new National Museum of Marine Corps & Heritage Center was rededicated with a new museum. This museum tells the history of the U.S. Marine Corps from inception to the present day and includes a World War II gallery. Also known as simply the USMC Museum.
Leatherneck Gallery
Circular entrance gallery located at the center of the museum. Includes a diorama of the USMC landing at Tarawa. Suspended above are a number of aircraft including an SBD Dauntless and two Corsairs.
