Baseball Battle and a Bride An Okie in World War II This book is a biography of Oklahoman (Okie) Robert Freese who was a prewar baseball play who was drafted a month after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. As a member of the 32nd Infantry Division, 128th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Battalion. Sent to New Guinea, he participated in the Battle of Buna including the attack on Simemi then Buna Airfield (Old Strip) and Buna New Strip.
