From Here to Eternity (1953 Hollywood Movie) is an adaptation of the novel From Here to Eternity (1951) by James Jones. Staring Burt Lancaster, Montgomery Clift and Deborah Kerr. In 1955 at the 26th Oscars the film won eight Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Director (Fred Zinnemann), Best Supporting Actor (Frank Sinatra), and Best Supporting Actress (Donna Reed), Screenplay, Cinematography, Film Editing, and Sound Recording. The film tied the record for most wins at the time.
