Ship History
Built by Yokosuka Naval Arsenal at Yokosuka. Laid down November 20, 1913 as a Fusō-class battleship. Launched November 3, 1915 as Yamashiro 山城 meaning "Mountain castle" is Japanese. Commissioned March 31, 1917 in the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN).

PARTIAL HISTORY

Sinking History
On October 25, 1944 in the Battle for Leyte Gulf during the Battle of Surigao Strait sunk.
