Sinking History
On April 6, 1945 off Okinawa. At 3:15pm USS Bush (DD-529) was hit by a third kamikaze plane and requested assistance. When Colhoun approached to render aid, the destroyer was hit by two kamikaze planes and sustained serious damage and later scutted at 27°16'N, 127°48'E by USS Cassin Young (DD-793)..
