Ship History Built by Higgins Industries in Louisiana during 1944 as as Landing Craft Mechanized, Mark 3. Delivered to the U.S. Navy (USN) as LCM(3). Display This LCM is displayed outdoors at Battleship Cove. Painted in the markings of "P-56". On the stern of the pilot house is the World War II 5th Amphibious Force logo "Suddenly and Violently".
