History unknown. Possibly served at the Battle of Khalkhin Gol / Nomonhan Incident. Or, was assigned to the Mongolian Military prewar, during or post WWII.

During 1959, this tank was installed as a monument at Yakovlev Hero's Memorial on Baintsagn Hill.

The monument claims this tank to belonged to the Soviet 11th Tank Brigade or even the tank he was killed commanding. If this is actually the case, is unknown and unclear.
