Captured Type 94 Te Ke Tankette serial number 88 on the beach at Balikpapan on Borneo
Standing in the turret is Brian Bourke, 1st Australian Armoured Regiment captured on July 1, 1945 by the Australian Army 2/9 Battalion, 18th Infantry Brigade, who handed it over to the 1st Armoured Regiment to maintain it. In the background is RAAF PBY Catalina from No. 42 Sqaudron with the engines removed and abandoned on the beach.
