Wartime History
On February 1, 1944 Headquarters, 310th Bombardment Wing is activated at Gusap Airfield in New Guinea with the 418th Night Fighter Squadron (418th NFS) attached.
On May 1, 1944 Headquarters, 310th Bombardment Wing moves to Hollandia in western New Guinea.
On September 18, 1944 Headquarters, 310th Bombardment Wing moves to Pitu Airfield on Morotai.
On November 14, 1944 Headquarters, 310th Bombardment Wing moves to Leyte in the Philippines.
On December 15, 1944 Headquarters, 310th Bombardment Wing moves to San Jose Airfield on Mindoro in the Philippines.
On August 23, 1945 Headquarters, 310th Bombardment Wing moves to Clark Field in the Philippines.
