Wartime History
Built by Ammann in Japan. Assigned to the Imperial Japanese Army (IJA). Transported to Dagua and used for the construction and repair of Dagua Airfield during 1943. During the war, abandoned at the western end of the runway. On March 21, 1945 captured by the Australian Army Australian Army 2/2nd Infantry Battalion.

Wreckage
This Ammann steam roller remains in situ at the airfield. The main roller wheel is embossed with "AMMANN". During July 2003 aircraft wreckage was laid atop this roller.
