    East New Britain Province (ENBP)  Papua New Guinea (PNG)
Location
East New Britain Province (ENB) is the eastern half of New Britain. To the west borders West New Britain Province (WNB). To the east is the Saint Georges Channel and beyond New Ireland Province. Between 1884 until September 1914 part of Deutsch Neu Guinea (German New Guinea). Prewar and during the Pacific War part of the New Britain District in the Territory of New Guinea. During the 1960s, East New Britain Province was created by the Australian Administration. Today located in Papua New Guinea (PNG).

Rabaul Town
Rabaul  borders Simpson Harbor on the Gazelle Peninsula
Tunnel Hill (Tunnel Hill Road)  road connecting Rabaul to Talili Bay.
Observatory Ridge (Volcano Observatory)  located to the west of volcano observatory and monitoring station.
Malaguna  borders Simpson Harbor.
Sulphur Creek  located at the southern edge of Rabaul.

Gazelle Peninsula Area
Gazelle Peninsula  located at the northeastern tip of New Britain.
Cape Gazelle  feature located at the northeast tip of New Britain.
Tavui Point (Tavui No. 1)  located at the northern tip of the Gazelle Peninsula "Submarine Base".
Praed Point  located at the southeastern tip of the Gazelle Peninsula with prewar gun battery.
Tanoura  borders Talili Bay on the Gazelle Peninsula.
Kula  borders Talili Bay on the Gazelle Peninsula
Nordup (Nodup)  located on the north coast to the northeast of Rabaul.
Four Corners (Four Ways)  inland crossroads south of Vunakanau.
Vunadidir  inland village to the southeast of Vunakanau.
Kokopo (Herbertshöhe)  borders Blanche Bay folloing the 1994 eruption became commercial center.
Vunapope (Wunapope)  borders Blanche Bay to the south of Rabaul prewar Catholic mission.
Bitapaka (Bita Paka)  located to the east of Kokopo includes Bitapaka War Cemetery.
Bitagalip  located between Bitapaka and Tobera Airfield.
Toma  inland village to south of Karavia Bay and Rabaul.
Tokua  inland village east of Kokopo site of present day Tokua Airport.
Rapopo  borders Blanche Bay during the Pacific War the Japanese built Rapopo Airfield at this location.
Lesson Point  feature located at Rapopo bordering Blanche Bay.
Takubar  borders Blanche Bay to the west is Vunapope and Kokopo.
Malmaluan  ridge overlooking Karavia Bay includes Coastwatchers Memorial Lookout.
Malapau  located to the northwest of Kokopo bordering Blance Bay.
Raluana  located between Karavia Bay and Blance Bay.
Raluana Point (Schulze Point)  located between Karavia Bay and Blance Bay.
Ralum  borders Blanche Bay further to the northwest is Malapau and Raluana.
Karavia (Keravia)  borders Karavia Bay includes Japanese barge tunnel and hospital tunnel.
Cape Lambert  located at the northwest tip of the Gazelle Peninsula.
Elizabeth Reef  coral reef off Cape Lambert
Lemingi  located in the Baining Mountains.
Malabunga  located on the Gazelle Peninsula.

Volcanoes
North Daughter (Mount Tovanumbatir)  located to the north of Rabaul.
Mother (Mount Kombiu, Mt. Kombiu)  located to the east of Rabaul.
Rabalanakaia  extinct volcanic crater to the east of Rabaul.
Tavurvur (Mount Tavurvur, Matupi Volcano)  located to the southeast of Rabaul, last major eruption 1994.
South Daughter (Mount Turangunan)  located to the southeast of Rabaul near Praed Point.
Vulcan (Rakaia)  located to the west of Simpson Harbor, last major eruption 1994.
Mount Varzin  located to the south of Kokopo and Rabaul.

Mountain Ranges
Baining Range  mountain range in the center of East New Britain to the southwest of Rabaul.
Kol Mountains  located to the north of Wide Bay.

Rabaul Area Airfields
Lakunai Airfield (Rabaul East, Rabaul No. 1)  built prewar used by the Japanese in the Pacific War, disused.
Vunakanau Airfield (Rabaul West, Rabaul No. 2)  built prewar used by the Japanese in the Pacific War, disused.
Rapopo Airfield (Rabaul South, Rabaul No. 3)  built by the Japanese and used during the Pacific War, disused.
Tobera Airfield (Rabaul No. 4)  built by the Japanese as a fighter base disused today.
Kerevat Airfield (Keravat, Karavat, Tavelo)  built by the Japanese and used to a limited capacity disused.
Malaguna Airfield  built by the Japanese parallel to the Malaguna Road used as an emergency strip, disused.
Tokua Airport (New Rabaul Airport)  built 1983 with assistance from the Japanese government.

Rabaul Area Seaplane Bases

Sulphur Creek Seaplane Base  located at Sulphur Creek used as a seaplane and flying boat base area.
Malaguna Seaplane Base  located at Malaguna used as a seaplane operating area.
Matupi Seaplane Base  located on the western edge of Matupi Island used as a seaplane operating area.

Rakanda Airfield (Rakada)  located on Rakanda Island in the Duke of York Islands off New Britain.
Jacquinot Bay Airfield (Jacquinot)  located at Jacquinot Bay
Tol Airfield  located at Tol near Wide Bay

Open Bay Area
Open Bay  located on the northern coast of East New Britain.
Maitanakunai (Maitanakunai)  borders Open Bay on the northern coast of East New Britain.

Wide Bay Area
Wide Bay  located on the southern coast of East New Britain includes Henry Reid Harbor.
Henry Reid Harbor (Homhovulu)  located at the eastern end of Wide Bay bordering Waitavalo and Tol.
Tol (Zungen Point)  borders Henry Reid Harbor and Wide Bay, site of 1942 Tol Massacre.
Waitavalo  borders Henry Reid Harbor and Wide Bay.
Lamerien (Lamerien)  located on the western edge of Wide Bay.
Brown Island  located at the western side of Henry Reid Harbor and Wide Bay.
Kalai  borders Wide Bay.
Cape Turner  borders the wesern edge of Wide Bay and Kalai Plantation.
Long  located on the western edge of Wide Bay to the north is Cape Turner.
Kalip  located at the mouth of the Ip River on western edge of Wide Bay.
Hoiya  located on on western edge of Wide Bay.
Kaulum  located on on western edge of Wide Bay.
Milim  borders the southern side of Wide Bay.
Kiep  located on the southern side of Wide Bay to the west is Milim.
Sampum  located on the southern end of Wide Bay.
Cape Orford  located between Wide Bay and Jacquinot Bay.
Baien  located near Cape Orford.

Pomio District
Jacquinot Bay  located on the southern coast of East New Britain.
Malmal (Mal Mal, Palmalmal)  borders Jacquinot Bay.
Pomio (Bomeo)  located on the southern coast of East New Britain bordering Jacquinot Bay.
Waterfall Bay  located on the southern coast of East New Britain.

Rabaul Area Harbors and Bays
Simpson Harbor  borders Rabaul that connects to the south to Karavia Bay and Blanche Bay.
Dawapia Rocks (Beehives)  pair of rocks located in the western portion of Simpson Harbor.
Matupit Island (Matupit)  borders Simpson Harbor to the west and Matupi Harbor to the east.
Matupi Harbor  borders Matupit Island to the west and Tuvuvur to the east.
Karavia Bay (Keravia Bay)  borders Simpson Harbor to the north and Blanche Bay to the east.
Blanche Bay  borders Karavia Bay to the west and the St. Georges Channel to the east.
Talili Bay  located to the west of the Gazelle Peninsula.
Watom Island  located to the north of Talili Bay.
Ataliklikun Bay  located to the west of Rabaul.

Duke of York Islands
Duke of York Island Group (Duke of York Islands)  located to the east of the Gazelle Peninsula.
Credner Islands (Pigeon Islands)  located between Cape Gazelle and the Duke of York Islands.
Duke of York Island  largest island in the Duke of York Islands.
Ulu Island  located in the Duke of York Islands.
Rakanda (Rakanda)  located on the southwest corner of Duke of York Islands.
Mioko Island  located at the southern end of Duke of York Island.
Mioko Harbor  located at the southern end of Duke of York Island.

Eastern Coast of New Britain
Kabanga  located on the eastern coast of the Gazelle Peninsula of New Britain.
Kabanga Bay  located on the east coast of New Britain bordering St. Georges Channel.
Ganai  located on the eastern coast of the Gazelle Peninsula of New Britain.
Adler Bay  located on the eastern coast of the Gazelle Peninsula of New Britain.
Sum Sum (Sumsum)  borders Adler Bay on the eastern coast of the Gazelle Peninsula of New Britain.
Put Put (Rugen Harbor)  located on the eastern coast of the Gazelle Peninsula of New Britain.
Induna Island  small island located off Put Put (Rugen Harbor).
Jammer Bay  located to the northeast of Wide Bay and south of Rabaul.
Warangoi  located on the eastern coast of New Britain includes the Warangoi River and borders Warangoi Bay.
