Built by Consolidated in San Diego using funds F-1 under order number W535-AC-4 DA at a cost of $289,276.00. Constructors Number 1008. On November 21, 1942 delivered to the U.S. Army Air Force (USAAF) as B-24D-20-CO Liberator serial number 41-24213. Project Number 30262. On November 30, 1942 flown to St. Paul to the modification center. On January 23, 1943 flown to Topeka, Kansas. Ferried overseas to "Cherokee". On March 3, 1943 arrives Karachi Airfield in India (Pakistan).

Wartime History
Assigned to the 10th Air Force (10th AF), 7th Bombardment Group (7th BG). Nicknamed "The Captain and the Kids" in reference to the The Captain and the Kids Sunday comic strips of the same name with nose art of the comic strip characters below the name, one holding an aerial bomb.

Fate
On March 31, 1943 this bomber was officially written off as Condemned Air Force Miscellaneous (CON AFMSC). Likely this bomber was B-24D Liberator pilot Jenson Missing In Action (MIA) March 31, 1943 on a bombing mission over Burma.
