Enlargement of B-25C "Der Schpy" 41-12496 nose at 7 Mile Drome near Port Moresby
At left is the nose of B-25C "Der Schpy" 41-12496 with "Der Schpy" nickname on the left side of the nose. Visible on the nose are circular sockets to mount a .30 caliber machine gun. Inside the nose the bombsight is under a canvas cover. In the distance is a parked B-25C Mitchell. Although dated July 6, 1942 it was likely taken earlier during June 1942.
