Aircraft History Built by North American. Delivered to the U.S. Army. Ferried overseas via Hawaii to Australia. Wartime History Assigned to the 5th Air Force, 345th Bombardment Group, 498th Bombardment Squadron as a replacement aircraft. No known nose art or nickname. Based at Port Moresby. Wartime History On October 16, 1943 took off piloted by Lt. Ralph Robinette armed with 100 lb wire wrapped bombs on a low level mission against Boram Airfield near Wewak. Over the target, this bomber's rearward automatic camera took a series of photographs of B-25D "Red Wrath" 41-30024 over the target.
