SSgt Ernest S. Roberts poses fellow crew in New Guinea
On October 16, 1944 engineer B-25D 41-30561 on a mission against Wewak and ditched off Cape Moen and was captured by the Japanese and became a Prisoner Of War (POW) and was executed at St. John's Mission on Kairiru Island.
